Dear friends and Contortion fans,

Our big event is getting closer and closer. Everything so far is arranged and settled. We all can look forward to an international event with friends coming from Australia, Canada, USA, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Germany. We also have registrations from China, Japan and Russia, however here - like in a few other cases - we are still waiting for more detailed information from these participants with respect to their dates of arrival ect...

We therefore would like to ask everybody who has sent us a formal registration, to get in contact with us as soon as possible and to respond to the direct mails which we sent to them personally, in order to secure the participation in this wonderful event. Be aware that it will be most difficult to arrange last minute hotel accomodations and so on. Therefore please..... everybody who wants to make sure to attend the ICC and to have everything done for them properly and as planned, contact us immediately.

The main meeting place for the Convention is the HANDWERKERHOF. Adress: Dresdner Street 313, 01640 Coswig (Sörnewitz) (the map to get there can be found on the last infopage. We will be having a detailed list for all participants and their hotel accomodations, available at the above location on April 30, when most of our guests arrive. Everything in this respect is taken care of. The hotels we chose are all very close to the convention location and most of them are even within walking distance. However we have also booked and arranged transportation means for those of you who will not be coming by car.

The following artists will be performing on our special event evening on May 2, 1998: The HAMBURGER SHOWSTERNCHEN of Gerd Rasquin, TSENDE from the TUNGA Ensemble, NATALIE from USA (trained by David Fox), DALI-DA (lift/contortion act), JOSEPHINE B. & TINO der flotte Ober. ANNIE O. and the Contortion Duo CAPULOS from the Artist School Isolde Schwinger will most propably also appear this evening. Unfortunately ROSE ZONE, who is in a long term booking arrangement, will not be able to join us on the evening of this gala event , but she was so kind to promise us, that she will do her best to come during the day of the May 2nd and to then maybe show one of her performances separately during the afternoon. CHARIS is also booked for that night, but we will try and fly her in on May 1, so she can perform for us.. As you can see, we have been doing our utmost to make this wonderful and rare event as special and colourful as possible.
