Dear Friends,
The countdown has started. We all are getting really excited and it looks like we will have a very special time together again. First of all, I would like to give a run down of our schedule during the ICC 2006. This is still subject to changes, but it will give you a closer idea of all the activities happening in the 3 days of the convention.
September 25
7pm “Get Together” at the bar of the Billy Bob Restaurant in the Sam’s Town Hotel. (not part of the ICC program. Just for those who have already arrived and want to meet old and new friends of the art of contortion)
September 26
9.30 am until 11 am Meeting at the ICC conference room “Red Rock”. General introduction and “BIG HELLO” (Only for Full Package Participants ! Performing artists and accompanying members can join all activities at the Sam’s Town Live Showroom after 12 pm)
11 am until 12 am First of three contortion workshops with Angelique (Cirque du Soleil contortion coach) in conference room ‘Red Rock’. (workshop already full ! Full package participants may attend this workshop - as spectators only !) |

12 pm until approx 1 pm First workshop with Otgo Waller and Enkhee (former Cirque du Soleil performers - now very successfully performing internationally in Solos and Duos). In conference room ‘Red Rock’
12 pm until 3 pm The Contortion Activity Market opens in the Sam’s Town Live SHOWROOM. Here we will have :
a) more contortion workshops with Alba (another very well known and successful contortionist from Germany)
b) Workshop: Yoga for beginners
c) Choreography / Dance classes. These classes are specifically for our young talents who are searching for some help in how to put together a nice presentation for their now and future performances. (please bring a second CD of your music with you)
d) Costumes Stand. We will offer costumes of one of the most well known costume designer of Las Vegas at special prices as well as material to make your own costumes.
e) a Make-Up designer will give our talents and performers some advice on show make-up.
f) TWO side stages where various performers show little performances to ‘warm up’ for the big show
g) Stands for exchange of contortion memorabilia |

3 pm until 6.30 pm Rehearsals for the first Show
7 pm THE FIRST ICC 2006 SHOW STARTS
September 27
9 am until approx. 11 am Meeting in Conference Room ‘Red Rock’ Presentation of Mrs. Bernadine Owen on TRIGGER POINT THERAPY, a very interesting subject for all of our participants, who deal with physical exercising and coaching. To learn more about this subject, please go to:
11 am to 12.30 pm Second contortion workshop with Angelique followed by a second workshop with Otgo and Enkhee.
12 pm until 3 pm The Contortion Activity Market opens again in the Sam’s Town Live SHOWROOM. (for activities please see Sept. 26) |

7 pm THE SECOND ICC 2006 SHOW STARTS - GRAND FINALE
September 28
10 am Meeting of participants in Conference room ‘Red Rock’
10.15 am until 11.15 am Presentation of Dr. William W. Orrison (Chief of Neuroradiology /Nevada Imaging Center) The Nevada Imaging Center is presently entertaining a new project studying the spines of contortionists in regards to how much the work of these artists develops and effects the spine. I am not a scientist, but I had a meeting with Dr. Orrison and his assistant Tim Mueller today. The little I saw and heard was extremely interesting for all of us, who ‘work’ with and around the art of contortion.
11.15 am Third workshop with Angelique presenting her students. All artists and spectators welcome to watch !
2 pm to 3 pm Presentation of Tige Young (Owner of the Contortionhomepage - the first and ORGINAL contortion website). I guess everybody here knows Tige. He and his work brought the art closer to the rest of the world. It is still THE no.1 page for all contortion enthusiasts.
3 pm to 4.30 pm Yoga workshops for advanced students |

4.30 to 6 pm Presentation of Mr. Ken Thompson THE ALEXANDER METHOD
In a few days time we will give you a closer look at our show schedule and all the wonderful artists, we have chosen for you to perform at our outstanding ICC 2006 event. Many of them were already featured in our recent updates.
Here is another lovely young Lady who we would like to introduce to you now. Her name is
Hayley
Hayley Kent began her training in gymnastics at the age of 5. With her coaches not challenging her talent enough she started some other sports activities - such as soccer and basketball. |

This all changed when her parents took her to the Cirque du Soleil Show „Quidam“. She was so fascinated by this show and especially by the art of contortion that she went back to gymnastics training. At the age of 13 she started training at the circus school. Always having been very flexible - she realized that her talent for the art of contortion could take her much further than gymnastics or any other sport. Now she trains under the supervision of Sam Tatevossian in his Russian/Armenian Kids Circus (even though she is American) For Hayley contortion is the most beautiful form of expression - with grace, flexibility, strength and power. And as she puts it in her own words : "I want to pursue my career in contortion as far as it will take me - and I hope one day I will inspire someone to become a contortionist - just as I got inspired as a young girl".
