Dear Friends, Time is flying and the ICC 2011 is getting closer and closer. Since our last update lots of new and exciting things have come up. We have been able to secure some more wonderful show acts for you. We want to start with an extraordinary Lady and contortionist from Australia. CHRISTINE DANTON (SHILLAKER), professionally billed as "The Amazing Cristina" is the only contortionist worldwide who is still performing her contortion act at the age of 66. Now celebrating over 50 years as a professional performer, Christine has been featured on several TV Shows, including "Just for the Record" and "Australia's Got Talent", and has worked internationally in theatre, films and circuses. |

Christine still performs her contortion shows on a
regular basis in various shows in Australia and soon at the ICC 2011 in Las
Vegas. Christine started her professional career as a dancer/contortionist
in the early days of Australian television in Adelaide and went on to tour
internationally as a featured cabaret artist. We are extremely happy to be
able to welcome Christine at our event ! STEPHANIE CASTELLONE : Talking about variety shows, Stephanie is most probably the contortionist with the biggest variety of characters to feature her contortion skills. Like a chameleon, she changes the themes and pictures of her acts transforms into different personalities telling different stories. Some of you might have seen Stephanie a few years ago at the ICC 2003 in Las Vegas, shortly before she started her stage career. In the meantime Stephanie has indeed made an enormous step forward, both in her contortion skills and her stage appearance. We are very happy to have her with us again !
HERE IT IS TIME TO SAY SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT : All our professional artists are performing at no fee; only for us and for the love of what they do as acrobats! Otherwise, we would never be able to put such an amazing event and such wonderful shows together. With our event being a NON PROFIT event, we are just about able to cover the costs and fees to book the venue, to promote young talents, to pay travel costs and accommodation for some of our artists who come from all over the world: only to mention Australia, New Zealand, Europe/ Switzerland etc. SO THE BIGGEST "THANK YOU" AND APPLAUSE GOES TO OUR PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS ! |

ESTEPHANIA LAURINO is another very popular contortionist and we are excited to present her contortion act at one of our Gala Events. Estephania’s show features numerous highlights and most difficult tricks such as the Marinelli bow, the arrow and bow and so much more. This young Lady and artist has such a lovely, positive and refreshing personality, which she carries on to the stage in her beautiful and highly professional act. Estephania has been working all over the globe, Europe, Japan, South America and the United States of course, where she performed i.e. in the famous ZUMANITY Show of Cirque du Soleil. |

Now we are coming to two other beautiful show acts and
artists who will perform in our shows: Hayden Productions Vegas present
Nicholus and Chris, Main à Main acrobatic show.
These two great artists - Nicholus Quade and Chris Staefe - are living in and operating from Las Vegas, where
they are presently working in various shows and venues. They have been
traveling all over the world performing in variety theatres and the biggest
circus entertainment shows. Again we have to express our thanks to both of them for taking the time to joining us and perform at our event. They literally just squeezed us in and are coming in between some other engagements they have. Thank you guys ! And we have another great act on our list. As most of you know, we always like to show one other –non contortion related act - in our shows - so that your eyes don’t get twisted too much over the length of the show. This time we have the pleasure to present Rudy Uresti and his Hand Shadows. We can assure you, Rudy shows a very different and very specific performance to the usual of what you see in this art form! You will enjoy it! |

It is a great pleasure to announce that famous male contortionist Jonathan Nosan will not only do his special workshops for us, but will also perform at our Gala Show. Jonathan’s act is definitely one of the most artistic and most beautiful shows in the genre of male contortionism. He is also one of the most successful male contortionists worldwide. We are so proud and happy to welcome Jonathan ! This is all in regards to our show acts for this time. More in our next update. We have to come to some other –more practical- issues, which are very important for us on the organizational side. At this point, I Ska von Schoening have to personally ask you for your practical support in one matter : To organize the event takes months, sometimes up to a year. I start early so I can get good deals with the hotel, choosing good times for fares for the rooms and the location venue including the show room and the convention rooms. The sooner I sign the contract the better is. When I closed the deal with the Sunset Station Hotel I secured a number of rooms for our event and participants, which then was - and still is - a good deal. I did that in the interest of our participants. In the meantime the room rate has gone down a little. Some of you have - obviously the right thing to do - now booked the room at the lower fare. |

Now the hotel does not accept these rooms - for
whatever reason - as ICC rooms, unless I present them with the names and
details under which these room have been booked. That would mean that
I am stuck with many rooms for three nights, which I have to pay for,
since I reserved them for our participants. A nightmare !
Therefore I ask everyone who stays at the Sunset to send me a mail to : skasy2@me.com and confirm their stay. I only need to know who actually booked at the Sunset Hotel. That’s all. I know, most of you are, but I have to make sure and present this list BEFORE the event. THANK YOU !
Another point I want to bring to your awareness is the extreme quality and the possibilities we are offering this year in regards to workshops. Maybe we should explain this again in more detail. We have Leslie Kaminoff. Leslie will hold a 3 hours lecture and interactive workshops for three hours each on August 29 and August 30, 2011. Leslie is one of the most internationally renown experts on flexibility and body science. We are extremely happy that we were able to book him for our event and you should really take advantage of the unique opportunity. Leslie is ‘part of the package’ and included in our registration fee. With Leslie we are aiming to please our more adult participants, teachers, performers and fans of flexibility. For our younger participants and talents, we can only advise you to take the opportunity to learn and get to know the different coaching and training methods we offer with Gerd Rasquin, Angelique / Enkhee, Jonathan and on the therapeutic side Karen Rudiger. Please be aware, that we NEED to know, which and how many workshops you want to take. It is vital for our planning that you inform us ahead and before you come, which interests in workshops you have and what you want to book.
